After experiencing Al-Salam Institute’s classes for a number of years, I say that only at Al-Salam Institute have students been given an extended opportunity to actually study classical Islamic texts in great detail with Shaykh Akram Nadwi; hence, one can argue that Al-Salam Institute has been the outlet for Shaykh Akram’s profoundest teaching by hosting his Sunday classes, year after year, for the last eight years. In a commercialised world, where advanced learning is not appreciated and nor does it sell exceptionally well, Al-Salam Institute have the fullest credit for sticking to their principles and being the foremost provider of an advanced Islamic Studies programme for part-time students in the English language. Without Al-Salam Institute I doubt we would have seen the best of Shaykh Akram Nadwi.

“Not only does the Al-Salam Institute have one of the foremost Islamic scholars teaching in English, Shaykh Akram Nadwi, as their main teacher, but they have now developed a reliable, professional and fully interactive online access to the programme. The online experience allows one to listen to the material in very good quality, and also to post one’s questions and have the Shaykh answer them in class. As it is only at Al-Salam Institute that Shaykh Akram conducts extensive teaching of classical texts, it can now be hoped that his true scholarly teaching can reach the ends of the globe, in a way that enriches English-speaking Muslims – especially scholars and students of knowledge – across the world, insha Allah
