Terms and Conditions
Independent Consultation
The one-to-one consultation with Shaykh Akram is an independent advisory session. Al-Salam Institute (ASI) acts solely as an administrative facilitator, responsible only for managing bookings, scheduling, and communication.
Nature of Consultation
Consultations with Shaykh Akram Nadwi are intended to provide non-binding and non-legal advice only. Al-Salam Institute and Shaykh are not a mediation service or legal authority. The advice offered is based solely on the information provided by the participant and should be considered one of several possible sources in your decision-making process. For legal matters, participants are strongly advised to consult with a legal authority.
No Liability
ASI is not a party to the consultation and does not accept any responsibility for the content, advice, guidance, or outcomes of the session. All discussions and advice shared during the consultation remain strictly between the participant and Shaykh.
Jurisdiction & Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by English Law. Any disputes arising from this agreement are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Participant Responsibility
Participants are responsible for providing accurate information during the booking process and for ensuring they attend the scheduled session. Any decisions made following the consultation are taken at the participant’s own discretion and responsibility.
Applications
Al-Salam Institute reserves the right to review and approve applications before confirming a booking. ASI reserves the right to defer, delay, or decline applications at its discretion. If your request is approved, you will receive a Zoom link to join the consultation.
If your application is rejected, a full refund will be issued within seven (7) days.
Age Restrictions
Participants must be at least 18 years of age to use this service. By submitting the booking form, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into this Agreement. Al-Salam Institute accepts no responsibility for any liabilities arising from false age representation.
Fees
Each consultation session includes a non-refundable booking fee. The fee applies per session, including for returning participants. A booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received. Fees are non-transferable and non-refundable, including in cases of participant cancellation, unless otherwise stated under the Refunds section.
Refunds
Refunds will only be issued in exceptional circumstances or if the application form is rejected by a staff member, at the sole discretion of Al-Salam Institute (ASI).
Refund requests must be received in writing within seven (7) days of payment. Please note that transaction and card processing fees are non-refundable in all cases.
Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:
- Non-attendance at a scheduled session
- Participant cancellation after confirmation
- Late arrival causing a missed or shortened consultation
- Not obtaining a satisfactory outcome from the consultation
Time Management
Participants are requested to be punctual and ensure that the consultation does not exceed the allocated time slot. If a consultation extends beyond the booked time, an additional slot must be booked and paid for. Sessions cannot be extended without prior approval and confirmed payment for the additional time. Failure to adhere to time limits may result in the session being concluded promptly at the scheduled end time.
Communications
The primary mode of formal communication with Al-Salam Institute staff will be email. It is the responsibility of the participant to provide an up-to-date email address and inform Al-Salam Institute promptly of any changes to their contact details. Failure to maintain accurate contact information may result in missed communication, for which ASI bears no responsibility.
Behaviour and Conduct
Participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully throughout all interactions with Shaykh and ASI staff. Any form of misconduct, disruption, or inappropriate behaviour may result in immediate termination of the session without refund and potential exclusion from future bookings.
Data Protection and Privacy
We observe the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 with respect to all personal data held by the Institute. We will not pass on such data to third parties except where necessary in connection with the performance of our contract with you, or as otherwise authorised by you.
We may use your contact information to notify you of upcoming events, offers, and promotions from time to time. For full details, please refer to Al-Salam Institute’s Privacy Policy.
