As demand for our programmes continues to grow, we are looking for a Marketing Lead who can help us reach new audiences, strengthen our community, and communicate our mission with clarity and excellence.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role for an ambitious marketer who combines strong creative instincts with a data-driven mindset.
You’ll lead ASI’s marketing activity across social media, content, email, partnerships and campaigns, working closely with our Director, graphic designers and video editors. You’ll play a key role in promoting our programmes, retreats, publications and seasonal campaigns, helping connect more people with sacred knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow ASI’s presence across Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Plan and deliver marketing campaigns around Ramadan, Dhul Hijjah, enrolment periods, retreats and new publications.
- Write compelling copy for social media, email campaigns, websites and marketing materials.
- Manage content calendars and oversee content production.
- Collaborate with designers and video editors to create engaging content.
- Build relationships with students, partners and supporters.
- Monitor performance and optimise campaigns using data and insights.
- Support email marketing, CRM activity and audience nurturing.
- Use AI and automation to improve efficiency and marketing performance.
- Support the growth of paid advertising and new marketing channels.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Proven track record growing organisational social media channels.
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills.
- Experience planning content calendars and managing content production.
- Experience running paid social campaigns.
- Strong marketing analytics capability (GA4, Search Console, Meta Business Suite).
- Data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Community management experience.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Experience managing designers, video editors or external creatives.
- Alignment with ASI’s mission and values.
- Availability during UK business hours.
- Ability to travel to events, retreats and filming locations, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Desirable
- Charity, education or non-profit sector experience.
- Experience with influencer and partnership campaigns.
- Experience managing Google Ads and Meta Ads.
- Knowledge of SEO and email marketing.
- Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Mailchimp or similar).
- Familiarity with WordPress.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Experience using AI and automation tools.
- Understanding of the UK Muslim educational landscape.
- Familiarity with Shaykh Akram Nadwi’s educational approach.
- Arabic language proficiency.
