Al-Salam Institute USA Tour
For the first time, Al-Salam Institute will be coming to the USA! From 24th June to 4th July, Shaykh Mohammed Akram Nadwi will be touring California, Minnesota and New Jersey, teaching at the Institute of Knowledge (CA), Rabata (MN), and the Quran Literacy Institute (NJ). Each city will also host a seminar on his most famous work ‘Al-Muhaddithat’: The Women Scholars in Islam.

Shaykh Mohammed Akram Nadwi
Dr Mohammad Akram Nadwi is a world-renowned scholar of Indian origin, who received in-depth training in the traditional Islamic disciplines at Nadwat al-Ulama, Lucknow, India, and received a PhD in Arabic literature from Lucknow University. He conducted research for a number of years at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, and has published widely in Urdu, Persian, Arabic and English; including translations, critical editions of Arabic texts, and original monographs on Islamic law, women hadith narrators, and such figures as Abu Hanifa and Sayyid Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi. He has received ijazah from over 600 scholars and completed a monumental 53-volume work of the lives of al-Muhaddithat (female scholars of hadith) in Islamic history. He co-founded the Al-Salam Institute in 2006 and continues to serve as Principal and Senior Lecturer of the ASI Islamic Scholarship (‘Alimiyyah) Programme.
