Sacred History Series:

Women around The Messenger

This course will outline the biographies of some of the major female Companions (sahabiyyat), including their role in the life of the Prophet (saw). Their lives and personalities will be discussed, and lessons taken from their stories, in order for students to come away with a clearer picture of some of the most prominent women who have played a role in Islam’s sacred history. These women, some of whom are mothers of the believers, others of whom had a major impact in the sirah, all have a unique standing in Islam and by acquainting themselves with their lives and times, students will gain a greater understanding of the kinds of women that the Prophet (saw) was surrounded by.
