Level Description:
Beginner For those who are just beginning their Arabic journey, have a familiarity with the Arabic script and an ability to read simple sentences.
Intermediate Understanding of basic Arabic grammar and syntax. Ability to read Arabic text comfortably. For those who have completed a beginner-level course in the Arabic language, such as the ASI Foundation Year.
Advanced Ability to form and understand common phrases and expressions using a wide range of vocabulary. For those who have familiarity with the Arabic language, including grammar, syntax, and morphology, and have completed an intermediate-level course in conversational Standard Arabic (fusha).

Please refer to the table above and select the level that you think best corresponds with your current Arabic ability.

If you are unsure, please select Beginner. (We may conduct an oral placement interview to determine the most suitable level for you on the programme.):
